I was fortunate to be asked to photograph a destination wedding in Phuket Thailand. Stay tuned for Sandra & Dave’s Thailand wedding photos.

I did tack on a few extra days to explore Patong and Kamala Beach with my friend who came with me for part of the trip.

Here are a few photos from Patong Beach which was just a 5 minute walk from our hotel.

Watching the sunset over Patong Beach and the sky turning golden yellow reminded me how important it is to take time away from work and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. Its been a crazy year full of adjustments relocating from Brisbane back to Sydney, and I needed this break more than you can imagine. It was the perfect way to wrap up my Spring wedding season too. Im going to work harder at the work/life balance thing in 2018. The Patong sky certainly turned it on and as you can see I took a stack of photos to remember this moment.

When I first arrived in Patong, I didn’t feel like picking up the camera. I really needed a break from work. But soon the feeling crept in where I had to pick up the camera and take some photos of this interesting country that had thick bunches of electrical wires, that would spark and make crackling noises, with bikes and vehicles zipping past you as well as crowds of people and restaurants were only interupted with gift shops scattered along the streets.

It was time to say goodbye to my friend who traveled to Phuket with me as she had to return to Australia for work. I was moving to the Thavorn Beach Resort at Kamala Beach ready for my wedding on Saturday. The next lot of photos are from around the lush gardens on the grounds of the Thavorn Beach Resort where I had a beachfront cottage.
