I was heading off to America for a few weeks, partly for a business-related trip, but before we get to the work part, there was time for some fun and capturing images to make available through my print shop. I enjoy having photographic prints on my walls at home and I hope to share that joy with others. Whether you are a DIY decorator or an interior designer wanting prints for your client’s home, we have a variety of photography-based art prints that will look stunning in any home.

The adventure begins with a stop-over in Los Angeles after a 14 hour flight and a chance to explore Hollywood, Santa Monica Pier and Venice Beach.
I have to say I was glad to be leaving Los Angeles and heading to San Francisco for a few days. LA had this horrible haze that lingered around until lunchtime that just made the place feel dirty. I really don’t get the fascination with LA. Now Venice Beach is a different story, I did enjoy the walk from Santa Monica Pier along the esplanade to Venice Beach for the atmosphere, colour and locals.

We were in Hollywood LA. It was one day before the 2015 Oscars but there wasn’t a celebrity in sight .. haha. It was the 87th Annual Academy Awards at the Dolby Theatre, the one where Lady Gaga performed onstage.

We finally made our way down to Santa Monica Pier. Lunch by the ocean … yes!

its amazing how many times you recognise seeing Santa Monica Pier in movies and TV series.
While there is a lot to see and do on the Santa Monica Pier, I was more captivated by life on the beach.
From tourists like myself exploring, to the locals and even the local vagrant taking a snooze on the beach.
