I was heading off to America for a few weeks, partly for a business-related trip, but before we get to the work part, there was time for some fun and capturing images to make available through my print shop. I enjoy having photographic prints on my walls at home and I hope to share that joy with others. Whether you are a DIY decorator or an interior designer wanting prints for your client’s home, we have a variety of photography-based art prints that will look stunning in any home.
If you see any pictures in this photographic series you would like to hang on your walls, a selection of them can be purchased as prints. If the image isn’t in the print shop, just shout out via email and I can do a custom print on request. Visit The Print Shop

Travelling through Yosemite and Death Valley has been a highlight of the trip, and one that we wouldn’t have had if we flew direct from LAX to Las Vegas as I did in 2013. Well worth the drive!
We passed through the Coso Range Wilderness, Malpais Mesa Wilderness and Darwin Falls Wilderness to get to Death Valley, naturally taking photos along the way. I really didn’t expect to see a vast contrast in landscapes even though the desert is quite baron, the textures and colours of the landscape changed frequently. We even saw snow on the mountain ridges. On the other side of Death Valley we passed through Funeral Mountains Wilderness and Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge before reaching Pahrump, our final night in the campervan. Insert sad face.

We stayed at the Preferred RV Resort on our last night in the van. What I love about the Preferred RV Resort, apart from its ‘original’ name, were the shower rooms were heated. After a chilly night, to get out of a hot shower and be nice and warm while changing … ahhhh – it’s the small things that count. Our final camp meal was sausages boiled on the van stove with boiled carrots and mash potato served with sour cream and cheese topping and tomato pesto sauce, and a glass of Chardonnay from the last bottle we purchased at Arrowood Winery in Sonoma to celebrate our last night on the road. It’s not quite as chilly tonight. We even stayed up past 8.30pm.
It’s going to be about a 1.5 hours drive into Las Vegas in the morning. First we drop off our trusty ride High Noon at Escape Campervans before checking into the MGM Grand Hotel where we are staying for the next 5 nights. Ahhh to have a nice big queen bed to myself.
Now we’ve arrived in Vegas, it’s time to get into business mode for the Wedding & Portrait Photographers International {WPPI) photography conference.
See you in Las Vegas, or rather the Las Vegas blog post up next.

Being a photographer, I tell stories better through pictures than my ramblings of words on a page.
